Who is at risk for and how do you manage hypoglycaemia in patients with HF taking empagliflozin?
-

Insulin and insulin secretagogues, e.g. sulphonylureas, may increase the hypoglycemia risk
-

Consequently, a lower insulin dose or an insulin secretagogue may be needed to lower hypoglycaemia risk when patients use insulin plus empagliflozin
